Tour of St Pauls College, University of Sydney

Join Hector Abrahams of Clive Lucas, Stapleton and Partners, Heritage Architects, for a tour of St Pauls College, situated within the grounds of Sydney University.
St Pauls is Australia's oldest university college, founded in 1856 as an Anglican college. It is now home to 198 male students. The original sandstone buildings were designed by the ecclesiastical architect Edmund Blacket in the neo-gothic style.
Members can look forward to viewing the college furniture collection which features pieces by Andrew Leenahan, colonial cabinetmaker.
Visit to Brownlow Hill, near Camden
Saturday 26 June, picnic followed by house inspection. Cost $25 numbers limited
Members have been invited to bring a country picnic to the beautiful gardens of historic Brownlow Hill to be followed by a tour of the house and furniture collection by the curator of Elizabeth Bay House, Mr Scott Carlin. Brownlow Hill was the country property of Alexander Macleay, Colonial Secretary of New South Wales and owner of Elizabeth Bay House.
Brownlow Hill was granted to Macleay and still has much of the original furniture both English and colonial insitu, this is a rare situation and makes it an important collection in the Ausralian context. The family of the current owners aquired the house in 1857 from the Macleays.
